Overview:
In today’s fact we learn about the Stegosaurus! Mr. Toes teaches us what the plates on the back of a Stegosaurus may have been used for.
The Fact a Day:
The Stegosaurus was about 30 feet long. It had unique spikey plates that ran along its back and are believed to have been used for thermoregulation. When it was hot, the plates would help cool them. When they were cold the plates would warm them by collecting heat from the sun. Like a solar panel!
