The Fact a Day:
The Amazon Rainforest is huge at 2.72 million sq miles (7.04 million sq km). That’s more than 3 times the size of Alaska and it is just slightly smaller than the lower 48 contiguous United States at 2.95 million sq miles (7.5 million sq km).
